The Olmsted Plein Air Invitational has grown into one of the nation’s top art events over the past decade. Now in its 11th year, it continues to showcase some of the finest plein air artists while growing Atlanta’s art scene. Our strong reputation for excellence consistently attracts top artists and judges, keeping alive a deep appreciation for plein air painting.

This year’s Invitational will feature 26 nationally and regionally recognized artists. Attendees can expect an immersive experience celebrating creativity, community, and the timeless art of painting outdoors.

The 2025 Olmsted Plein Air Invitational invites art collectors, enthusiasts, and newcomers to experience a week-long celebration of art. The 2025 Olmsted Plein Air Invitational invites the public to experience the beauty and spontaneity of plein air painting. The week-long Olmsted Gallery, open daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with select evening hours, offers a constantly evolving display of artistry.

On day one, the gallery debuts with paintings from the artists’ personal collections. As the week unfolds, fresh works created on location across Georgia are added, capturing the essence of plein air painting in real time.
